Arlan Landey was born in Northern Minnesota on April 10, 1953 and spent his youth in a wilderness setting that inspired creative thinking and a love of the outdoors.  His early experiences included work on the family business, "Landey Mill and Lumber Company." Educational credits include graduation from Deer River High School in 1971.  He earned a BA in Religion/Art from Anderson University in 1975 with continuing education in Business Administration and Micro & Macro Economics. Mr. Landey served from 1973-1981 at Warner Press Publishing House as the Manager of Physical Distribution.  From 1981-1988, he was Sales Manager for Alac Garment Services, an industrial uniform cleaning corporation that catered to heavy industry.  In 1988, Arlan became a part of Reflectix, Inc. where he became the Sr. Vice President of Marketing and served on the Board of Directors until the sale of the company in 2000. 

Utilizing his understanding of both heavy manufacturing as well as the retail building and materials markets, Mr. Landey founded his own company and currently holds a patent on a new attic flooring product.  He currently has five new products in development and works in conjunction with four cooperative corporations to assist in new product development and marketing of synergistic products to those developed by Swords Marketing Group or by him.

Swords Marketing Group is currently restricting cooperative corporate partnerships to a total of seven to ensure a proper focus is maintained with all associations. Personal interests include both the fine arts and graphic design.  Mr. Landey also enjoys winter sports as well as camping and hiking.  Weekends finds him in a classroom setting where he teaches Old and New Testament subjects utilizing his knowledge of concurrent histories and comparative religions as a background to the subject matter.
